We were commissioned to produce a video to show two examples of social enterprise businesses within Coventry. Working closely with CUSE we interviewed and cut together these videos to be shown at the Vice-Chancellor’s roadshow at Coventry University.
The overall response to the videos was very positive and helped people to better understand the activities social enterprise businesses are undertaking in and around the local area, and the subsequent benefits to society.
This work was later followed up with a request from CUSE for a series of case study photographs to highlight and document some of the local SE’s. They needed images which would have multiple marketing uses in both web and print formats, so we kept to a wide landscape-orientated frame to give those options. We used either the real location where the SE worked from, or if that wasn’t possible, we hired spaces and dressed them up to make an appropriate set. The emphasis of the images needed to be upbeat and friendly; so plenty of light, and we generally worked a ‘fly-on-the-wall’ style, but pausing the subjects in mid flow at a smiling or laughing point to give that positive mood.
“Just thought I’d let you know that the video was very well received today. It was embraced in the VC’s opening speech and was an excellent way of sharing some of the green shoots we have underway at the University. Thank you very much for all the hard work you put into producing this. It paid off on the day!”- Sue Hatton, Business Development
